2014 Letters to Santa

Dear Santa,

My wish is for all the people that have cancer, Ebola, and all those thing to find a cure and get better. All the door and on the side of the street I don’t think it would be a problem if you just dropped off some food before you leave. All the people that get beat will just save them and take them somewhere but there.

All the kids of grown people that don’t have Cristmas give them some. And my sister let her get better and feel good again. All the people in my class give them a good gift this Cristmas.

Love, Cameron

Dear Santa,

What I wish for Christmas beyond just a present is a bunch of shoes. Now this might sound weird at first, but once you get deep in the meaning it makes more since. You get say 20 pairs for example and then give them to outhers who don’t have shoes. I can then get many friends to help pass them out. This can also be a school project.

This wish can brighten so many peoples day. Just thank of all the happy faces. All the kids and even adults getting new shoes. All this will happen by one wish. this is what I want for Christmas beyond a present.

Love, Leighia Woodard

Dear Santa,

My family has many traditions that are Pariculer in each christmas. The first thing we do every is go to church on Christmas Eve and take communion. After that, we usually ride around for awhile and look at Christmas lights. When we get home, it is time to make our cookies and mix the reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard. Before we go to bed we can sit down together and watch a Christmas movie.

When Chrimas morning comes we always go into the den to see what presents you have left for us. We start with our stockings and then go the gifts under the tree. After we open all our presents we get ready and go to my grandparents house Where we have breakfust. In the afternoon we go to my other grandparents house and open more presents. I love the traditions and hope it will stay the same for a long time.

Dear Santa,

Our Christmas traditions are very fun for us to do. We have candy calendars that go all the way from December first to Christmas day! And each day, we get a piece of candy to eat. We leave before Christmas to go to family, so we get more candy in one day! The Christmas candy calender tradition is very fun. Every year for Christmas, we go family that we don’t see much. We get to have double the presents because we get presents from both mom and dad’s side of the family! The most important thing is we get to be with family.

Sincerly,

Andrew Norton

Dear Santa,

On Christmas Eve my family goes to my mom’s parents’ house. My whole family is there. Last year our family played “Dirty Santa” after we ate. Hopefully we will play it this year as well. Before we play “Dirty Santa” we eat our Christmas lunch. Later we all open our presents from my mom’s parents. Later that evening, my whole family goes to my dad’s mom’s house. My cousin and his parents are there as well. We snack on food and then we open presents. Then, we all watch t.v. and talk.

Finally, on Christmas Day my family opens presents together. After that, we go back to my dad’s moms house and eat Christmas dinner. My grandmother always cooks so much food but everyone loves it. She also makes a lot of desserts. I love my family’s Christmas traditions!

Dear Santa,

On Christmas morning after everyone is awake, Byron, Mom and I sit in the living room and pass out and open our presents. Next, we wait on my Nana to arrive to open her gifts and give us our presents from her, then we take off to my aunt’s house. At my aunt’s house we open our presents and see what we had in our stockings. We all have our Christmas breakfast and we hang out together for a little longer. Finally, we all go home and try out our new gifts and put away the Christmas tree.

Love, Destiny Abernathy

Dear Santa,

I hope for Soliders to come home to their families and to be unhurt in battle. Some soliders get diseases or get Severely hurt and I hope that doesn’t happen. My second hope is that is ebola patients be healed very quickly so that it won’t spread to other people. And my last wish is, that people get healed, Espescially cancer people. Football players for sure! With all the hits they take it must be difficult! Catches to! Well thank you for Waisting your special time with my silly letter !:)

Love, Peter Cosby

Dear Santa,

On my dad’s side of the family we have a tradition. We go and have a good dinner on Christmas eve. We open presents. We watch the news and see where Santa is. When Santa is close to our house we go home . When we get home we fix everything for Santa like his food. We have a great time with my cousins. We play a lot of fun games with our new stuff we get from our grandparents.

On our moms side of the family we go to my moms dad’s house we go about the 23rd or 22nd. We eat a good lunch and the kids get done so fast  so we can open presents but we always have to wait on the parents. After we open presents the parents talk for ever. The kids play with the toys. We have a great time.

At my mom’s step dad’s we go and talk with our cousins when we get ready to open presents. We open a ton of presents. We have so fun. We play with our toys. We open our stockins. We play a game just like Dirty Santa. We go on Christmas night. When we get there we usally tell them what we got for Christmas. We have a great time.

Love, Hudson Harden

Dear Santa,

Our family Christmas tradition on my mom’s side is very fun. We go to my grandma’s house most of the time. Every year we all bring each other presents and make lots of food. Sometimes we even all sit down together and talk about what we got that morning for Christmas.

Then, on my dad’s side it is like two weeks before Christmas. Sometimes we hae it at our house but usually at memaw’s house. We all play Dirty Santa, and it is awesome. My aunt Helen draws names to see which grandchild gets the other grandchild’s gift. Well, that’s my Christmas Tradition!

Dear Santa,

This Christmas I want to make everyone that is hungry be full. I want everyone that is hungry to be full. I want everyone that is homeless, to have shelter. I want the perfect Christmas. My idea of a perfect Christmas is snow, cheerful crowds, happiness for everyone, and a little Christmas spirit. If we all bring a little more joy, this could be a great Christmas. We could help out the needy. Give thought to the people to the people that aren’t as lucky as you. Cherish family and friends on this wonderful holiday. This would be my perfect Christmas, when everyone feels so loved and helpful is truly the greatist gift I could every have. Merry Christmas everyone.

Love, Bayleigh Kyker

Dear Santa,

Every year my family go to are family’s homes to eat and open gifts. It is nice to see your grandma’s smile from seeing what you got them. Every year I go to two houses, we spend so much time together and the day feels so long. We usually eat biscits, pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast at my dad’s grandma’s house. Then for lunch so we are all full so we don’t eat lunch so we go to my Nana’s house and give are gifts and go. This is my Tradition.

Love, Rhylee Miller

Dear Santa,

My family’s traditions are in my opinion, the best things to do on Christmas. Every Christmas we roll out dough. Cut it into squares. Then, we put any type of jelly into each one. We usualy do about 144 of them. We do three dozen one kind of jely, three dozen another and so on. After that, pour sugar on them and bake them. Now you have what we call a dofunny. Another tradition that we have is putting everyone’s name in a bowl to see who buys a Christmas present for the other. It seems like every year I’m the one who buys a present. Maybe I’m supposed to learn a lesson. I think it’s better to give than to receive.

Dear Santa,

A week or so ago my family gave  a portable dishwasher to my third grade teacher. Three years ago she got divorced and her ex-husband wouldn’t help with their three kids. So most of her money went into raising the kids, so she didn’t have a dishwasher. So we got a dishwasher off the Hartselle Yardsale page, went and got it, and took it to her house. When we gave it to her her mouth dropped to the ground. She yelled for her son to come outside. His mouth dropped, too. “On or way here after school”, she said, “I was talking to him(her son) about how much I wanted a dishwasher.” My dad went into her house and set it up, while me, my cousin, my brother, her son and my two sisters played outside.

Sincerly, T.J. Brown

Dear Santa,

My family tradition is me and me brother wake up first and go our parents room and wake them up. Then, when they are awake we get a camera (it’s usually down the hall past the presents and stuff.) My mom usually gets it while my dad still has a hard time waking up at 6:00 in the morning. When my mom finally (five minutes later) comes back with the camera, (I always thinks she takes a little peek when she is getting the camera). As my dad is getting his slipper things on my mom, turns on the camera and starts recording.

As we walk down the hall to the living room I get more excited every step I take. Usually my brother goes first then me, my mom, then my dad. As we enter I always see colors and boxes everywhere. My gifts are usually are on the couch closest to the hall on the right side of the living room and my brothers are on the couch in the middle of the room. My mom and dad’s are usually on the floor or on the small couch on the left side of the room. (My mom calls it a chair) We run tear presents and open them, they are all awesome. We stay indoors playing with our presents until we want to play in the snow sometimes. After a while our neighbors come to our house and visit then leave. That’s my Christmas holiday.

Sincerily,

Brody Dean

Dear Santa,

My wish for Christmas is that I hope my aunt who is in the nursing home will soon hopefully get out one day and hope her cancer goes away because they told her that she was not expected to live very long and if something happens to her than that will be very sad and hurtful situation because she is my grandpa’s sister and she’s also the only one he has left living the rest of his family has passed away, So its a very sad situation for my grandpa. Her name is Dorothy Cockerall.

Sincerley,

Ebony Suggs

Dear Santa,

My Church, Hartselle Church of Christ has be doing Meals on Wheels for a good time now. We go from door to door giving out food in the neighborhoods, the projects, and anywhere else our youth minister Todd Barrier tells us to go. People are very greatful for the Food and snack we hand out. The box of food includes cranberry sauce, dressing, corn bread, sweet patatos, and best of all choclate cake. We normally get to eat the leftover choclate cake. My family and I clean out our trunk before we go up to our church so we can deliver extra boxes of food. I love how they hug me and my twin brother James, and how they smile so big and also how they thank you and God bless you. It give a really good feeling once my Hand touches their door, and when they open it to see I have food specialy made for them and their family.

Sincerely,

Caroline B. Puttit

Dear Santa,

My wish for Christmas is that people won’t think Christmas is about recieving gifts. It is more important to give than to recieve. We need to appreciate what we have. Christmas didn’t start because of gifts. It started when Jesus was born. We need to celebrate the birth of Jesus and not gifts.

The most important gift that you could give someone this Christmas is to tell them about Jesus and the reason he came to Earth and died for our sins. If more people had Jesus in their heart the world would be a better place. My biggest wish for Christmas this year is for everyone to accept Jesus into their hearts. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Sloan Steelman
