Funeral for Jerry Roy Summerford, 70, of Hartselle will be Tues., May 15, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Knight officiating.

Visitation will be Mon., May 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Summerford died Sat., May 12, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Morgan County to David Elijah Summerford and Sarah Elizabeth White Summerford. He was a loving father, devoted husband and wonderful grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Brittany Nicole Callahan Summerford; four sons, Gary Don Summerford of Decatur, Jimmy Dale Summerford, of Hartselle and Jerry Dale Summerford and John Lee Garrison both of Danville; two daughters, Christie Gail Summerford of Trinity and Elita Ravon Summerford of Danville; three sisters, Hazel Taylor and husband Carl, Ruth Campbell Summerford and Nell Shaneyfelt and husband Luel; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Richard Dale Frye Jr., Michael Harden, Eric West, Todd Bailey, Lee Garrison and Jimmy Dale Summerford.
