4H Pig Show to be held May 11

Special to the Enquirer

Morgan County 4H will be hosting a joint pig show with Lawrence County 4H to be held at the Moulton Lion’s Club Fairgrounds May 11.  Youth have been raising and training their pigs since January and will auction them off at the show’s end.  Spectators are encouraged to attend the show which will start at 10 a.m. followed by the auction at noon.  At the conclusion of the auction, all pigs will be transported to a local processor by the Morgan County Extension Office, so anyone looking to stock their freezers with locally grown pork can have it processed to their specifications and expect it to be ready about two weeks after the show.  Please direct any questions to the Morgan County Extension Office at 256-773-2549.
