Smyth, Anderson to wed
John and Denise Smyth of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Jodie Deanna Smyth of Hartselle, to Eric Scott Anderson of Hillsboro, son of Jeannette Anderson and the late Ralph Anderson of Hillsboro.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Cartledge of Birmingham and Mr. William L. Smyth and the late Janice Smyth of West Blocton. She attended Decatur Heritage Christian Academy where she played volleyball and softball. She earned her GED in May 2006. She is currently employed at Decatur Heritage Preschool.
The future groom is the grandson of Mildred Bogle and the late Millard Bogle of Hillsboro. He is a 2005 graduate of East Lawrence High School.
He is currently serving as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and is stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. In 2006, he served a tour of duty in Iraq.
He has been awarded a Purple Heart.
The wedding is planned for July 7, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at the Quail Creek Wedding Chapel in Hartselle.
Coffey, Hyde to wed July 7
Rickey and Robbie Coffey of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Jodi Gail Coffey of Hartselle, to Christopher Cody Hyde of Florence, son of Bill and Jackie Hyde of Florence. The future bride is the granddaughter of Willard and Reble Coffey and Robert and Virginia Clemons. She will graduate in May 2008 from the University of North Alabama with a degree in social work. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma, Delta Epsilon Iota, Gamma Beta Phi, and Alpha Lambda Delta.
The future groom is the grandson of June Worley, W. C. and Virginia Hyde and Jack Worley of Florence. He will graduate from the University of North Alabama in December 2007 with a degree in accounting. He is the owner of Hyde Financial Group in Florence.
The wedding is scheduled for July 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle.
