Be Ready Camp offered to students

By Staff
Be Ready Camp, a summer camp for Alabama sixth graders, is now accepting applications from rising sixth graders interested in participating in the 2007 camp. Four students will be selected to represent Morgan County as Youth Preparedness Delegates at the camp.
In 2006, the program’s pilot year, students from Madison County spent four days at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and participated in programs which encouraged students to be involved in individual, family and community preparedness.
The camp is sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives, the Alabama Department of Homeland Security and the Association of County Commissions.
Those who are interested in applying for the camp may contact Dianna Tolliver at 355-8628.
