Bulldogs split against West Morgan

The Bulldogs split a doubleheader with West Morgan at Priceville Monday, giving Priceville (8-1) its first loss of the season.
In the first game, Priceville's Will Stevens pitched all seven innings and struck out three to pick up the win. Matt Croft hit a solo home run in the second inning that would prove to be the game-winning hit.
The Bulldogs scored five in the first inning, with Kody Etheridge and Heath Parker each hitting two-RBI doubles in the inning. Etheridge added another RBI with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Croft scored three runs for the Bulldogs in the win.
In the second game, West Morgan's Anthony Atemon picked up the win. In the two games combined, Croft finished 5-for-7.

Elkmont 5, 12
Priceville's offense came alive in a doubleheader sweep on the road at Elkmont Saturday.
In the first game, Lance Hughes picked up the win, striking out seven in six innings.
Etheridge finished the game 5-for-5 with two RBIs. Rand Hutchison was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Dustin Chambers finished 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs.
In the second game, Hutchison picked up the win, striking out six in four innings. He also finished with a solid game at the plate, hitting 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
Eli Allen was 4-for-6 with an RBI. Stevens, Croft, Kyle Bunnell and Aaron Sawyer each had two hits in the win.
