Funeral for Harold Posey, 78, of Somerville will be Fri., Apr. 6, at 1 p.m. at Somerville Church of God with Bros. Michael Gunter and Pearl Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Somerville Church of God Cemetery.

Mr. Posey died Wed., Apr. 4, at his residence. H was born July 27, 1933, to Alice Posey Sherman and Henry Posey. He was a member of Somerville Church of God and practiced the trade of an electrician for 45 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army (1954-55) and was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Darrin Posey; and three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Brown Posey of Somerville; three sons, Tony Posey and wife Bonnie of Trinity ad Ricky Posey and wife Martha and Scotty Posey and wife Denise, all of Somerville; two sisters, Christine Hartselle and Oradean Holbert, both of Trinity; eight grandsons, Tony Posey Jr. and wife Sara of Hartselle, Ricky Posey and Adam Posey and wife Jennifer, all of Somerville, Jeremiah Posey and Dustin Posey and wife Megan, all of Birmingham, Sean Posey, who is serving in Afghanistan, and wife Erin, and Matthew Posey and Brent Posey, both of Trinity; and a great-granddaughter, Gina Vee of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family extends thanks to Alacare Home Health and Hospice nurse Becky Johnson.
