Funeral for Margie I. Dobbins Cooper Shaddix, 79, of Falkville was Sunday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joey Coots and Mike Thomas officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Shaddix died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her residence. She was both December 16, 1927, in Lawrence County to Chester L. Dobbins and Anner Callahan Dobbins. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin D. Cooper and Marvin R. Shaddix; a son, Charles Ray Cooper; a brother, Floyd Winford Dobbins; a sister, Norma Lee Dobbins Praytor; and her parents.
She is survived by a son, Farron Dean Cooper and wife Janice of Falkville; a daughter, Alene Vest and husband Wayne of Falkville; two brothers, James A. Dobbins of Alvarado, Tex. and John H. Dobbins of Hartselle; two sisters, Dena Faye Hensley of Hartselle and Lynda Haggard of Athens; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryan Vest, Caleb Vest, Jacob Vest, Thomas Cooper, Kelly Allen and Matt Beurhaus.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Asera-Care Hospice for their wonderful care and concern shown to Mrs. Shaddix and her family.
