Funeral for J.B. Mathews, 73, of Lacey’s Spring will be Mon., March 5, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Samuel Tucker officiating.

Burial was in Valhermoso Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Mathews died Sat., March 3, 2012, at his residence. He was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Franklin County to Walter J. Mathews and Viola Baggot Mathews. He was owner of Mathews Vinyl Siding and Windows. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Arlee Mathews.

He is survived by his wife Katherine J. Mathews; a son, Ronald J. Mathews and wife Christina of Lacey’s Spring; two daughters, Constance M. Stone of Lacey’s Spring and Debra A. Overall and husband Mike of Decatur; four brothers, R.C. Mathews of Lacey’s Spring, O.V. Mathews, Carl Mathews and Charles Mathews, all of Ohio; four sisters, Ilene Clark of Oden Ridge, Irene Stephenson of Huntsville, Wilodene Raper of Phil Campbell and Judy Johnson of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Drew Marshall, Ricky Livingston, Avery Stone, Austin Dudley, Junior Kidd, James Colley and Justin McCarty.
