Funeral for Gracie Travis Nix, 85, of Hartselle will be Thur., Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nappier officiating.

Visitation will be Wed., Jan 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Mrs. Nix died Mon., Jan. 16, 2012, at her daughter’s residence in Florence. She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Morgan County to Ted Thomas and Maude Waddell Pruitt. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Emmitt Pruitt; a grandson, Jonathan Lynn Travis; and two great-grandsons, Jayden Lynn Travis and Aiden Lynn Waldrep.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Wallis of Florence; two sons, Sam Travis of Texas and Ronnie Travis of Hartselle; two brothers, James Pruitt of Mississippi and Billy Pruitt of Falkville; two sisters, Louise Adkins of Texas and Margaret Kaiser of Birmingham; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
