Polly Rains

A graveside service for Polly Rains, 87, of Hartselle will be Thur., Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Redfearn and Bro. Dusty Raines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Rains died Mon., Jan. 9, 2012, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Mar. 19, 1924, in Lawrence County to William Lonzo Tyler and Ethel Mae Lanier Tyler. She was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and her family was her life. She was preceded in death by a son son, Robert Leon Hill and wife Martha and her parents.

She is survived by to sons, Joe Rains and wife Linda of Trinity and Jimmy Hill of Hartselle; a daughter, Paula Rains Penney and husband Robert of Hartselle; a sister, Helen Haynes and husband Milton of Hartselle; seven surviving grandchildren, Rubert “Burt” Hill, Nina Hill, Lisa Hill Hood and husband Byron, Andria Hill, Corey Rains, Stacie Rains Crafton and husband Tim and Clint Fowler and wife Abby; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
