Funeral service for Eva Wright Ward, 95, will be Fri., Dec. 23, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackman and the Rev. Charles Stone officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Fri., Dec. 23, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ward died on Wed., Dec. 21, 2011 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 7, 1916, in Lawrence County to James Franklin Wright and Vina L. (Rushing) Wright. She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and was a loving mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlon Ward; a son, Carl Ward; and a grandson, Anthony Ward.

She is survived by four sons, John Ward and wife Brenda of Woodstock, Ga., and Joel Ward and wife Danny, David Ward and wife Kim and Tony Ward wife Patricia, all of Hartselle; two daughters, Syble Anders and husband Bobby of Massey and Mary South and husband Doug of Decatur; a sister, Jewel Roberts of Danville; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Ward of Decatur; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
