Somerville woman indicted on child abuse charges

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Somerville woman who was indicted on charges of child sexual abuse following a lengthy investigation.

Kathy Davis of Somerville

Kathy Davis of 124 Water Tower Road in Somerville was charged with sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.

On Sunday, Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis following the true bill issued by the Morgan County Grand Jury.

In December 2010, investigators arrested the suspect’s boyfriend, Danny Wilkes, and charged him with production and possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of a person under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts.

Evidence was gathered and presented to a Morgan County Grand Jury. Wilkes remains in the Morgan County Jail on bonds totaling $500,000.

The sheriff’s office said the indictment of Davis is the culmination of long investigation. She remains in the Morgan County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
