Funeral for Mary Frances Prater, 80, of Hartselle will be Mon., Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Brown and Ben Bates officiating.

Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Prater died Sat., Oct. 28, 2011, at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was born May 18, 1931, in Limestone County to Henry Manson Turner and Annie Bell Bates Turner. She was a member of New Center Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Prater and four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by a son, Phillip Prater and wife Sara of Hartselle; a daughter, Kathy Kent and husband Kenneth of Hartselle; a brother, Alton Turner of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Edith Prater of Madison; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Deacons and members of New Center Baptist Church will be pallbearers.
