Free musical entertainment for everybody and free kids rides on inflatables will be featured as a part of Falkville’s annual Fall Festival on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free kids area is sponsored by three local churches – Victory Fellowship, Fairview Church of God and First Baptist Church.

The event, sponsored by the town’s volunteer fire department, will get underway with a pancake breakfast in the fire hall. The doors will open at 6 a.m. and stay open as long as there’s a customer to serve. There is no admission but a donation is requested.

Free live entertainment will begin under a big tent at 11 a.m. with the Dusty Winsett Band performing. Well-known country band Confederate Railroad will entertain from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Other featured activities will include a wide variety of food and street vendors, an antique and classis car show, antique tractor show, cake auction and bingo.

A special attraction in keeping with the town’s 125th birthday will be the sealing of a time capsule at 2:45 p.m. The capsule will contain information of interest for future generations including recorded interviews with some of the town’s senior citizens.
