Funeral for Buford H. Smith, 88, of Hartselle was Friday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul O'Neil officiating.
Mr. Smith died Wednesday. Aug. 24, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Lawrence County to Thomas R. Smith and Katie Cahelia Smith. He was a retired salesman for Scotty's Building Supply in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Evie L. Eddy Smith of Hartselle; a daughter, Freda S. Junkins and husband Jerry of Hartselle; a sister, Chlista Wallace of Moulton; five grandchildren, Terry Wayne Black of Hartselle, Tammy Lynn Black of Crane Hill, Theresa Dianna Johnson of Huntsville, Timothy Lee Junkins of Hiram, Ga. and Angela Denise Banberg of Stafford, Va; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hunter, Holli, Ian and Zachary.
Memorials may be made to Alacare Hospice of Decatur.
