Alabama's top official will be the guest speaker at this year's Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and awards banquet.
Gov. Bob Riley will be speaking at the April 19 meeting. He will also be meeting with the chamber's board of directors prior to the evening's ceremonies.
"We are thrilled to have Gov. Riley join us for this year's event," Chamber President Susan Hines said. "We are honored he is joining us."
This year's meeting will be held in the Wright Center of West Hartselle Baptist Church. In addition to the governor's speech, the new chamber board and officers will assume their duties.
The chamber's top awards, the E.R. Roberts Business and Civic Award, John J. Sparkman Citizenship Award, and Dr. Thomas M. Guyton Humanitarian Award, will also be presented during the banquet. Several special recognition will also be given this year, Hines said.
Tickets for the banquet will be available at the chamber office later this month.
