Cates, Tuttle exchange vows
Susan Malinda Cates and Aaron Lee Tuttle were married Dec. 20, 2003, at 4 p.m. at Whitesburg Baptist Chapel in Huntsville with the Rev. Dr. Dick Thomassian and the Rev. Vern Tuttle, father of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sue Cates of Madison. The groom is the son of the Rev. Vern and Carol Tuttle of Hartselle.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and escorted by her parents.
She wore a strapless ball gown of white luxe satin and French tulle with a natural waist.
The gown was embellished with beading and lace along the hem and cathedral train. She wore a matching shawl of French tulle with beading and lace.
A tiara of crystals and pearls held her veil.
Sheri Malissa Cates of Birmingham, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bobbie Masterski Hudson of Hazel Green was matron of honor.
Heather Maddox White of Auburn, Tonya Mahler McCravey of Cullman, Ginger Putman Spitzmiller of Madison, and Angela Marie Tuttle of Taylors, S.C., sister of the groom, were bridesmaids.
Catherine Elise Grantham of Houston, Texas, and Emily Ann Coffman of Madison were the flower girls.
Jared Alex Tuttle of Hartselle, brother of the groom, was best man.
Jonathan Christian Nichols of Hartselle, Ray Tucker of Gary, Ind., Timothy Smith of Laporte, Ind., and Jon Walker McEwen Sr. of Sylacauga and Harold Levi McEwen III of Madison, brothers of the bride, were groomsmen.
Jon Walker McEwen Jr. and Andrew Jordan McEwen, both of Sylacauga, were ring bearers.
Glenn Edwin Lanier II and Loyd Hugh White Jr., both of Auburn, were ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship dining hall of the Whitesburg Center.
The couple honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise. They will reside in Nashville.
Holladay, Tucker to wed May 15
Gregg and Traci Holladay of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Keri Leigh Holladay, to Adam Brock Tucker, son of Vonda Tucker of Double Springs and Joey and Debra Tucker of Danville.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Danville High School and a prospective 2004 graduate of Athens State University.
She is employed with State Farm Insurance in Hartselle. She is the granddaughter of Dwight and Sara Hooper and Royal and Hazel Holladay, all of Danville. The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Danville High School.
He is employed with Bunge North America, Inc. in Decatur. He is the grandson of Mary Kelsoe of Speake, the late Quinton Kelsoe and the late Cleon and Litty May Tucker.
The wedding will be held May 15 at Danville Baptist Church.
Hall, Mayes exchange vows
Sherry Owen Hall of Somerville and Donnie Mayes of Huntsville were married Feb. 28, 2004, at 1 p.m. in a beachside ceremony in Destin Beach, Fla., with Frank Osmer officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Judy Owen of Hartselle. The groom is the son of William and Dorothy Mayes and Shirley Mitchell, all of Huntsville.
A reception is planned for March 14 at 3 p.m. at Gum Springs Church.
