Two separate methamphetamine labs were found last week, one in a vehicle driven by a Somerville man and the other in a Hartselle home.
The first lab discovery came during a vehicle stop in Falkville.
On Nov. 11, officers with the Falkville Police stopped a vehicle driven by Christopher Chad Jennings, 27, of 595 Charest Road in Somerville, for a traffic violation.
During the stop, officers noticed a methamphetamine laboratory inside the car.
Morgan County Drug Task Force officers were called to the scene and Jennings was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance in the first degree and equipment violation.
Jennings was booked in the Morgan County Jail on $15,300 bond.
The second meth lab discovery came after Hartselle Police Department received a complaint about alleged drug use at a local home.
On Nov. 14, the Hartselle Police Department responded to a complaint of drug use and manufacture of methamphetamine at a home at 3103 Garner Road in Hartselle. Suspecting a methamphetamine laboratory at the home, the police contacted the Morgan County Drug Task Force and the Alabama Beverage Control Board. After obtaining a search warrant, agents went to the home and seized chemicals, glassware and other components associated with a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory.
Agents also seized a quantity of methamphetamine at the home.
Kelly Howard, 35, was arrested at the scene and charged with the unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance in the first degree. He was booked into the Morgan County Jail on $25,000 bond.
