Funeral for James E. "Dick" Vest, 86, of Hartselle was Saturday, Aug. 9, at Moss Chapel United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Shubert and the Rev. Stephen W. Kelso officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Vest died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Morgan County to Connie Vest and Maudie Story Vest. He was the owner and operator of Vest Paint and Body Shop in Hartselle for many years. He was a member of the Moss Chapel United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was the widow of Pauline "Polly" Vest.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great grandsons.
