McCaig, Bridges wed Aug. 9
Melodie Shay McCaig of Hartselle and William Fielder Bridges were wed Aug. 9, 2003 at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Dorian Flynn officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby McCaig of Decatur and Sheila McCaig of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Darwin and JoAnne Bridges of Florence.
The church was decorated with a large assortment of white flowers.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless two-piece gown with a slim chiffon skirt and semi-chapel length train with an adjustable corseted button back bodice. The back was delicately arched and accented with Swarovski crystals and pearls.
The tiered waist length veil of ivory illusion was embellished with crystal rhinestones.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and white ribbon.
Matron of honor was Chasity Hensley Weaver of Danville and maid of honor was Lori Scott of Hartselle. Attendants were Alison Weinman of Hartselle, Allison Pierce of Red Bay, Lindsay Gerstman of Russellville, Erin Robert of Huntsville and Amy Bridges Flatt of Odessa, Fla., sister of the groom.
Attendants wore elegant two-piece georgette gowns of platinum.
The gowns featured a cowl-backed bodice and a softly flared skirt.
Taylor Shea Flatt of Odessa, Fla. was flower girl and Tyler Scott Flatt was ringbearer.
Darwin Bridges of Florence was best man. Josh Willingham of Florence, Todd Johnson of Florence, Rod Jones of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Kevin Elliott of Florence and Shannon McCaig of Huntsville, brother of the bride were groomsmen.
Music was provided by Al Jackson of Florence.
The reception was held in the fellowship hall of East Highland Baptist Church.
Wedding director was Donna Scott. Assisting with the reception were Donna Jo Hensley, Lori Hensley, Donna Melissa Hensley, Megan Hensley, Malea Hensley, Mary Ann Deweese and Jenny Deweese.
Brandy Hensley Johnson of Moulton attended the bride's book. Rose petal girls were Ashton and Autumn Hensley.
After a wedding trip to the Cayman Islands, the couple will reside in Florence.
