Morgan schools celebrate teachers of the year

Danville High School is pleased to announce their teacher of the year, Lauren Harris and their staff member of the Year, Daphne Roberts.

Falkville Elementary School is proud to announce their Teacher of the Year, Jill Smith and their support staff member of the year, Donna Jones.

Congratulations go out to the Danville High School November students of the month. They are freshman Presley Vest, sophomore Zac Vest, junior Jade Waddell and senior Ryan Johnson.

The Danville High School National Honor Society members made more than 200 cards for Hospice of the Valley Season of Hope Christmas Card project .

Shady Grove Baptist Church News

Members of Shady Grove Baptist Church packed 143 Operation Christmas shoe boxes this year. They have packed 6,266 shoe boxes since 2008. Pop tabs are still being collected for Danville-Neel School, to be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. The church has a container in the foyer for the tabs.

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church will host Christian Davis, a nationally known Christian singer. She will present a gospel concert Jan. 1 at 10:30 a.m.
