Town of Falkville Christmas in the Park a huge success

The Town of Falkville enjoyed a beautiful turn out at their Christmas in the Park despite the weather. The Town of Falkville expresses their thanks to community pride for the wonderful refreshments and the beautiful Christmas cards. Special thanks also to everyone that sponsored a tree . The Tinsel Trail would not be possible without community support and all of beautiful trees. The Mayor has given permission for viewers to drive the walking trail but everyone is asked to please drive slow and do not get on the grass.

Feeding Families of Alabama needs Christmas toy donations

Feeding Families of Alabama still needs donations of Christmas toys that are new, unwrapped toys . The toys can be dropped off at in the donation tubs at the office door of Feeding Families of Alabama. They are located at Mt. Tabor Church, 373 Mt. Tabor Rd. in Hartselle. You may donate as many toys as you wish. They are also in need of some one dollar items for stocking stuffers. The donations will bring some love, joy and Christmas magic to a local child in need.

Falkville VFW Post to host Children’s Christmas parties Dec. 17

The Falkville VFW Post 10774, will host two childrens Christmas parties Dec. 17. The first party will be for children younger than 5-years-old and will be held from 10 a.m. until noon. The second party will be for ages 6-18 and will be held from 1-3 p.m. They will enjoy kids bingo and other activities. Both parties are free and refreshments will be served . Come out and bring your children to this special Christmas event. The Falkville VFW Post is located at 784 Culver Rd., in Falkville.

Shady Grove Baptist Church Christmas news

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church will hold their Children’s Christmas Program Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. They will have a fellowship dinner after the program. Everyone is welcome to attend. Shady Grove Church will host a Christmas Eve Service Dec. 24th at 8 p.m. with “Candlelight, Carols and Communion.” Everyone is invited to attend.
