Morgan County 4-H livestock judging team attends competition

The Morgan County 4H Livestock judging team recently took a trip to Harrisburg, Penn. to the Keystone International Livestock Exposition. They finished eighth overall, just 30 points shy of a top five finish. Team member Blake Bennett ranked sixth overall in the swine division. The team includes Landon Hornbuckle, Blake Bennett, Ellie Blackwood and Sam Gullion. The team is coached by Josh Melson and Brett Crow . Congratulations to Emma Pflueger for winning both supreme and reserve supreme champion at the Morgan County 4H Goat Show. The supreme champion showman was Sam Gullion. 

Danville Band Booster President steps down 

Angie Lake Johnson has served as Danville Band Booster President for the past four years and she announced at their last game of the season that this would be her last game. She said that serving as president has been a lot of hard work, but that it has been a honor. Angie added that she loves Danville High School and the community Danville Baptist Church pastor says thank you Danville Baptist Church Pastor Bro. Joe Bailey gave a shout out to the Hatton community after Hatton played at Danville School. Only 10-12 of their parents and students cleaned their entire side of the gym. They also picked up loose trash and emptied the cans. Bro. Bailey said this is very impressive and challenging to Danville and all communities. Falkville Elementary School announcement Christy Simpson, of the Falkville Elementary School Counseling Program, announces that if anyone would be interested in sponsoring a family for Christmas, to call her at 256-784-5249.
