Library to hold adult paint class Jan. 24

Special to the Enquirer

The William Bradford Huie Library will offer a free adult paint class Jan. 24 at 5 p.m.

All supplies will be provided by the library. Assistant librarian Alex VanKoughnett will lead the class, helping attendees paint a beautiful snowman.

“We started the paint classes during our summer reading program as a way to offer something different and fun for adults,” assistant librarian Sarah Laughmiller said. “We had a student volunteer, Abby Ferrell, come in and lead some of those summer classes. Everyone seemed to really enjoy them, so we decided to keep it going.”

Participants do not have to have a library card to take the class, but they must be 18 years or older and must call or stop by the library to sign up.

Paint classes are planned for once a month, typically Monday nights at 5 p.m
