Boys Basketball Notebook: Priceville’s second-half surge leads to victory over Ardmore

Priceville used a second-half surge to get a 50-33 victory over Ardmore on Friday night.

The Bulldogs, who led 22-16 at halftime, outscored the Tigers 28-17 in the second half to secure the victory.

Dylan Fry had a game-high 12 points to lead Priceville, while Chris Thomas added 10 points. Elijah Hopkins had nine points and Cole Lindeman netted eight points.

Justin Casteel scored eight points to lead Ardmore.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will travel to East Limestone on Tuesday night.

Danville 48, Brewer 42: The Hawks, who led 33-15 at the half, held off a Brewer run in the second half for a 48-42 victory on the road.

KJ Melson had 13 points to lead the Hawks. Dylan Parker added nine points, while Aaron Alexander and Cameron Moore each finished with eight points.

Brewer was led by Zane Orr’s 16 points.

Danville (2-0) will host Hatton on Tuesday night while Brewer (1-1) travels to West Point on Monday.
