Morgan students make dean’s, president’s Lists at Wallace State

Wallace State Community College congratulates the 198 students named to the president’s list and dean’s list for the summer 2020 semester – including a number from across Morgan County 

To earn a spot on the Wallace State president’s list, students must maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester while taking a course load of 12 or more hours. Placement on the dean’s list is awarded to students maintaining a 3.5 grade point average or higher while taking a course load of at least 12 hours.  

College officials said the summer semester recognition is especially meaningful given the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Several students from Morgan County earned the distinctions.  

Those students who made the president’s list are Shaquira Nichols, DecaturChloe Hempfling, Eva; William Parker, Falkville; Eliza Briddick, Dee McCormick and Jacob Skaggs, all of Hartselle; and Lauren Davis, Valhermoso Springs.  

Those students who made the dean’s list are Michael Matthews and Kalyn Stackhouse, both of Decatur; Leslie McNeal, Eva; Victoria Braswell, Holli Potts and Alexis Weeks, all of Falkville; Lauren Fowler, Hartselle; and Kelsey Borden and Mathew Ary, both of Lacey’s Spring
