Historical Society announces lunch, learn series

The Hartselle Historical Society has announced its fall lunch-and-learn schedule. 

Each lunch and learn will take place at the Burleson Center from noon to 1:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy during each presentation. 

The Historical Society will cover the 75th anniversary of Battle of Normandy Sept. 9. Glen Thompson, Mark Hendrix and Dana Amberson will be the guest speakers during the presentation and will share experiences from their recent trip. 

Oct. 7 the Historical Society will explore memories from growing up in downtown Hartselle. Sarah Morris, Jimmy Yarbrough, Doug Street and Sandra Smith will all share stories about their experiences growing up. 

The Historical Society will welcome David Burleson and Dr. Ragland as guest speakers Nov. 4. They will be speaking about the life of Forrest Burleson and his connection with Charlie Williams. 

All lunch-and-learn events are free and open to the public.
