HANCEVILLE – The West Morgan varsity girls basketball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday night with a 59-44 loss to 3A No. 1 Lauderdale County in the semifinals of the Northwest Regional tournament.

The Lady Rebels carried a 22-21 lead over the Tigers into halftime, but were unable to stave off the potent Lauderdale County attack in the second half. West Morgan shot nearly 42 percent from the field, but were plagued by 20 turnovers in the setback.

Senior Haley Dotson led her squad with a team-high 13 points. Brie Evans also finished in double figures with 10. The Lady Rebels finish the season with a record of 22-10.
