Funeral for Bobby Ray Bodley, 77, of Hartselle was Wed., Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Harvel, Bro. Brandon Starnes and Heather Graves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was a private family service in Pitman Cemetery, at the request of the family.

Mr. Bodley died Mon., Aug. 29, 2016, at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1939, in Morgan County to Rufus Bodley and Josie May Halbrooks Bodley. He was the owner and operator of B & S Gas Plumbing prior to his retirement. He loved his family dearly and loved fishing. He attended Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Thomas Bodley and his parents.

He is survived by a son, Barry Bodley (Wyndee); two daughters, Connie Speegle (Brad) and Starlon Steele (Dalton “Shorty”); 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Corey Steele, Luke Graves, Weston Bodley, Brandon Crawley, Kevin Crawley, Jamie Steele. Duston Steele, Brandon Starnes, Cameron Ward and Clayton Bodley .

Honorary pallbearer was Cole Carter.
