Brewer High School will host the 13th Annual North Alabama Night of the Bands Sat., Sept. 19, at Tucker Stadium.

The event will feature a variety of musical programs presented by 12 high school bands.  Exhibitions will be presented by bands from Brewer, Hartselle, Decatur, Austin, Priceville, West Morgan, Danville, Falkville, Tanner, Ardmore and Hatton. Performances will be judged and comments will be provided to help the bands prepare for competitions later in the school year.

Decatur Heritage High School’s band will open the program at 6 p.m. with the playing of the National Anthem.

Admission is $5 per person. Tickets sold in advance by participating bands will benefit the band. A highlight of the evening will be a performance by the University of North Alabama Pride of Dixie Band.

Brewer’s 93-member band will present “Season–Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.”

“Band Boosters sponsor the event as an annual fundraiser” said BHS Band Director.  Douglas Farris. “They work concessions and help out in a number of other ways. Their support is vital to the success of the project.”
In addition to performing, band members pitch in and help with tasks before and after the program, according to Farris,
