Gordon Smith

A graveside service for Gordon Smith, 75, of Priceville was Sat., June 13, at 3 p.m. at the Burningtree Cemetery with the Rev. Sherman Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Smith died Wed., June 10, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Morgan County to Dewey Gordon Smith and Nellie Mae Speegle Smith. He was a member of the Point Mallard Parkway Baptist Church. In 1996, he retired from Wolverine Credit Union, where he served as president. He served more than 20 years as a national director of CUNA, was a member of the Good Sam’s Club and had served as state director for eight years. He loved traveling across the country in his RV with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shannon Smith; and a son, Patrick Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Smith of Priceville; a daughter, Stacia Barcal (Kelly) of Priceville; a granddaughter, Morgan Stallings; two stepgrandchildren, Amber and Hannah Barcal; and a great-grandchild, Lee Stallings.
