OUR OPINION: Keeping it fair

As it appears right now, we are headed for another wet-dry election in the coming days.

As we draw closer to that possible election next month, we have a few ground rules regarding letters to the editor.

First, all letters must be signed and have valid contact information, including your address and phone number. If you are submitting it on our website, you must include a valid email address.

Second, letters must be limited to 300 words. We cannot and will not run letters than exceed that limit. If we do choose to run a letter that is longer than the minimum, it will be edited to the 300-word limit.

Also, we will try to be as fair and balanced on the issue as possible. Thus, we will only run equal number of letters each week.

We appreciate your cooperation as we go through this very important discussion. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 256-773-6566.
