Alice “McKleroy” Roberts

A graveside service for Mrs. Alice McKleroy Roberts of Decatur will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. Wed., Nov. 12, with Bro. Harold Thompson presiding and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. McKleroy died Sun., Nov. 9, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital surrounded by her daughters. She was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Hot Springs, Ark. to John Lewis Glass and Hazel Hester Sims Glass. She later married Troy Edward McKleroy. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. They were married for 45 years. She was a member of Hartselle United Methodist Church. She was the past President of the Burningtree Ladies Golf Association, a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and a member of the Decatur Garden Club. She loved to play bridge with her lady friends and loved working in the yard, planting beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Roberts; two daughters,

Sydney M. Tucker of Decatur and Ann Worley of Hartselle; three step-children; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
