Slocumb, Smith to wed Dec. 28
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Slocumb of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Katherine Slocumb, to Joel McAlister Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Smith of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deotis Slocumb of Hartselle, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nelson of Cullman, and Mr. and Mrs. George Marler Boynton Beach, Fla.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Coley of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Smith of Athens, Reda Smith of Athens, and the late Johnny McAlister.
The couple will be married at First Baptist Hartselle Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.
