J.W. 'Tom' Whitehead

Funeral for J.W. "Tom" Whitehead, 67, of Hartselle was Monday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Evans officiating.
Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Whitehead died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Limestone County, he was the father of the late Katrina Bethea. He was a self-employed woodworker and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Whitehead of Hartselle; two sons, Mike Whitehead and Eugene Pylant, both of Cotaco; two daughters, Faith Gambrell of Hartselle and Shirley Hollis of Moulton; three brothers, Buddy Whitehead of Florence, Kenneth Crowden of Union Hill and Jimmy Crowden of Memphis, Tenn.; five sisters, Susie Ackins of Memphis, Tenn., Betty King and Charlotte Peters, both of Russellville; Geneva Hill of Decatur and Nellie Reece of Athens; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Hagamaker, Robert Slack, David Teague, Scott Gambrell, Anthony Hood, Stacy Hollis, John Hollis and Todd Hollis.
Honorary pallbearers were grandsons.
