Eva man faces drug charges

An Eva man is charged with making methamphetamine after deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department searched his home last week.
Cody Lee Widner, 23, of 5811 Highway 55 in Eva, is charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance in the first degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree.
According to Sheriff Greg Bartlett, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Violence Crimes Task Force went to Widner’s home June 29.
When agents arrived, they found a syringe and finished methamphetamine.
They also found three one pot meth labs, a gas generator, acid, pseudoephedrine, ammonium nitrate, lithium strips, camp fuel and approximately 40 blister packs from which the pseudoephedrine pills had been removed.
The labs were found throughout the property, including some hidden behind the home. Additional methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana were also found at the home.
Widner was taken to the Morgan County Jail on no bond.
