Funeral for Jewell D. Suggs, 70, of Decatur was Thursday, November 21, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Suggs died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. A native of Lawrence County, she attended the Church of God.
She is survived by six sons, Robert Suggs, Jimmy Suggs and Bragg Suggs, all of Decatur, James Edward Suggs of Addison, Billy Suggs of Tennessee and Jerry Suggs; one daughter, Shirley Suggs of Addison; two sisters, Christine Weaver of Trinity and Edna Mannie of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Jerry Suggs, Jason Irwin, Jeff Champion, Jasper Champion, Larry Parker and Marlon Motes.
