James Coleman Hampton

Funeral for James Coleman Hampton, 70, of Danville was Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Greg Standridge and Glenn Wood officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hampton died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at his residence. A native of Winston County, he retired as a pipefitter from Daniel Construction. He was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Joyce Hampton of Danville; one daughter, Becky Bibb of Vinemont; two sisters, Nell Steele of Falkville and Dean Hogan of Danville; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Steele, Leroy Hogan, Eddie Crow, Jimmy Watson and Phillip Bryant.
