Funeral for Michael Wayne Wilson, 45, of Hartselle was Monday, Sept. 8, at West Hartselle Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Redfearn and Matt Nail officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born July 12, 1963, in Morgan County to Jerry J. Wilson and Jan Wilson. He was a 1982 graduate of Hartselle High School and was employed by CSX Railroad as a conductor. He was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and a former 15-year member of Southside Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Hartselle. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching Alabama football. He was known best as a man who adored his family and cherished relationships with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Lane Wilson of Hartselle; two sons, Campbell Wilson and Clay Wilson, both of Hartselle; a daughter, Chloe Wilson of Hartselle; his parents, Jerry and Jan Wilson of Hartselle; and a brother, Jay Wilson of Rock Springs, Ga.
Pallbearers were J.D. Hill, Tommy Guinn, Wayne Lambert, Dennis Stephenson, Johnny Bishop, Brad Bole, Greg Lane, Mike Murphy, Steve McNutt, Heath Holbrooks, James Fowler and Max Runge.
