Funeral for Joyce Pounders, 80, of Falkville was Saturday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee with the Rev. Jerry Meeks officiating.
Burial was in Barton Cemetery.
Mrs. Pounders died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008. She was a native of Cherokee and a member of the Presbyterian church.
She is survived by three sons, Homer L. Pounders of Decatur. Tony R. Pounders of Hartselle and Carl O. Pounders of Gurley; four grandchildren, Kelly Pounders, Whitney Taylor, Colton Haggamaker and Melissa Macris; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchell and Haley Mitchell.
Pallbearers were family members and friends.
