Funeral for Verbon B. Davis, 66, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. at Twin Oaks Baptist Church near Falkville with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Jones Cemetery.
Mr. David died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born Feb. 15, 1942, in Morgan County to Verbon Barto Davis Sr. and Dessie Roberts Davis. He was a Baptist and a welder for Addison Fab. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elna Fay Davis and Wanda Holt.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson Davis of Falkville; two daughters, Alang Golden and Miranda Bratcher, both of Cullman; four brothers, Ernest Harry Davis, Cecil Davis and Stephen Davis, all of Somerville, and Verlon Davis of Birmingham; five sisters, Josephine Suit, Louvinua Suit and Beverly Jenkins, all of Valhermoso Springs, Willie Ross Hall of Decatur and Brenda Muckenfuss of Prince George, Va.; and two grandchildren, Dakota Davis and Destiny Bratcher.
Pallbearers were Paul Bryant, Randall Smith, Toney Davey, Toney Johnson, Greg Johnson and Brian Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Johnson and Jud Finney.
