Funeral for Shannon Edgar McQuary, 34, of Hartselle was Sunday, Feb. 10, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Virgil Crisp officiating.
Mr. McQuary died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born April 29, 1973, in Decatur. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, a 1990 graduate of Danville High School, brother of the Steamfitters &Pipefitters local #377 and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club of Decatur. He had a big heart and has touched many hearts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheri Virginia Wallace McQuary.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer McQuary of Hartselle; a son, Shannon Maison McQuary of Hartselle; two daughters, Jessica Malynn McQuary and Samantha Morgan McQuary, both of Hartselle; his father, Jimmie Tient McQuary of Decatur; a sister, Kandice Fortner McQuary of Decatur; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Valerie Leapley of Kentucky; three brothers-in-law, Monty Dodson of Trinity, Joshua Leapley of Kentucky and Eric Fortner of Decatur; two sisters-in-law, Jodi Dean of Kentucky and Julie Dodson of Trinity; four nieces, Sara and Christina Dean of Kentucky and Kayla Kilpatrick and Xain Fortner, both of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Monty Dodson, Joshua Leapley, John Zachary Lott, Eric Fortner, Kenneth Ward and Monty Poole.
