Funeral for Josephine Brown White, 76, of Hartselle will be Sun., June 24, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Lipsey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., June 23, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. White died one hour before her 77th birthday, Thurs., June 21, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 22, 1935, in Morgan County to Jerry Brown and Idellia Armstrong Brown. Josephine was full of life, funny, caring and loved her family with all her heart. Sewing and cooking were her life’s passion. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale White; her parents; and nine siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, J.E. White of Hartselle; a son, Ricky White and wife Jeri Ann of Warrior; two daughters, Shelby Weaver and husband L.P. of Lacey’s Spring and Edna Stephenson and husband Frank of Danville; six surviving grandchildren, Frankie “John Stephenson and wife Tanya, Stacey Primeau and husband David, Shane Weaver, Cynthia Jones and husband K.J., Crystal Weaver and Jason White and wife Tabitha; four great-grandchildren, Kyle Stephenson, Mattie Stephenson, KC Jones, Brynlee White and Camryn White; and a special one on the way.

Pallbearers will be Frankie “John” Stephenson, Shane Weaver, Jason White, David Primeau, K.J. Jones, Kyle Stephenson and K.C. Jones.
