Personnel items recommended by Superintendent Hopkins and approved by the board are listed as follows:

• Approved a contract for services with Phil McCutcheon to provide transportation to and from school for students attending the FES summer program, effective for the 2012-2013 school year. Total payment is not to exceed $75.95 per day

• Approved contract for services with Rebecca Houk to provide bus transportation to and from school for students attending the WMES summer program, effective for the 2012-2013 school year. Total payment is not to exceed $76.59 per day

• Approved a contract for services with Jeffrey Blair to provide bus transportation to and from school for students attending the WMES summer program. Total payment is not to exceed $73.80 per month

• Approved the transfers of Morgan County reading coaches, effective for the 2012-2013 school system as follows: Valerie Powell from SMS to countywide (PES/FHS), Paula Phillips from Union Hill to countywide (UHS/BHS), Pat Simpson from FES to countywide (PJHS/PHS), Honi Smith from Eva to countywide (Eva/BHS), Tamela Baylis from DNE to countywide (DNE/DHS), Patsy Bryant from Cotaco to countywide (Cotaco/WMHS), and Dana Speegle from Lacey’s Springs to countywide (Lacey’s/ Spring/Sparkman)

• Approved the transfer of Kerry Ozbolt from full-time physical education teacher at Falkville High School to physical education teacher half-time at FHS and half-time at FES. Effective with the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year

• Approved the transfer of Kent Tucker from full-time physical education teacher at Falkville High School to half-time physical education teacher at FHS and half-time at FES, effective with the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year

• Approved contract with Amelia Canon for 10 days between June 1, 2012 and August 1, 2012 to provide teaching, interpreting and translating services for EL parents and students for the following: Kindergarten orientation, Mom’s English Program and annual meetings with parents to plan schedules and generate individualized plans for EL students. The salary will be $273.03 per day from Title III funds
