A graveside service for Mary Vinzant, 76, of Hartselle was Sunday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Vinzant died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born October 3, 1930, in Lawrence County to George Hughes and Maggie Romans Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornis Vinzant; a son, Steve Vinzant; a daughter, Debbie Vinzant; and a grandson, Steven Vinzant.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne Vinzant, Roy Vinzant, Jackie Vinzant and Randy Vinzant, all of Hartselle; a daughter, Phyllis Holliday of Fincastle, Va.; three sisters, Connie of Hartselle, Ann of Louisiana and Evelyn of Michigan; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and a special niece and caregiver, Virgie Narmore.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
