Priceville boys, girls soccer open season with shutout wins

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs opened their season with a 6-0 win over Elkmont. Anna Katherine Hopkins led the way with four goals. Mae Vick and Kenzie Bowling had one goal each, while Gracie Rogers had an assist. Tori Staats recorded eight saves in goal.

Priceville 4, Madison Academy 3
Hopkins scored two goals in Priceville’s 4-3 win over Madison Academy. Rogers added two goals, while Aubrey Owens had an assist. Staats finished with 12 saves in goal.

Danville 7, Haleyville 1
Layla Sherrill scored five goals and had an assist to lead Danville (2-0-1) to a 7-1 win over Haleyville. Brylee Terry added two goals and three assists. Wendy Reyes had 11 saves in goal.

Danville 6, Lawrence County 0
Sherrill netted five goals in Danville’s 6-0 win over Lawrence County. Terry added a goal and an assist, while Danna Ramos and Jackson each had an assist. Reyes finished with seven saves in goal.

Brewer 2, Crossville 2
Estefanie Garcia and Riley Carlton each had a goal in the Lady Patriots (0-0-1) 2-2 draw with Crossville.

Boys
Priceville 2, Elkmont 0

Hayden Denson scored two goals to lead Priceville to a 2-0 win over Elkmont to open the season. Watts England and Luke Lorance each had an assist.

Priceville 1, Madison Academy 1
MacLain Lawson scored Priceville’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with Madison Academy.
