For the Enquirer

With the theme “Once Upon a Time,” the United Way of Morgan County’s annual Girlfriends Gala will be April 6 at Burningtree Country Club.

This event is exclusively for women 18 and older. It will feature dancing, photo booth delights, prize opportunities and more. Participants can plan their table décor, don their most elegant ball gown to create a night of enchantment.

Individual tickets for the Gala are $95. Call 256-353-6643 to purchase tickets or for more information.

Gala sponsors are also needed for the night, and there are multiple levels of participation. A signature sponsor is $5,000, a photo booth sponsor is $3,500 and a logo drink sponsor is $2,500.

A corporate sponsorship is $1,000; and a table sponsor is $750. A table sponsor is responsible for decorating table(s) and providing tableware. Setup is April 6, between 7 a.m. and noon. Decorations must be taken down between 10 and 11 p.m. on the night of the event.

UWMC offers the service of cleaning your table and storing your decorations until you’re ready to pick them up for a $100 fee.

Sponsors are first-come, first-serve, and one sponsorship is available per sponsor level. By participating, people can help vulnerable women and children in the Decatur area. Contact Kathleen Ross at 256-353-2609 to become a sponsor.
