Hayden Rose Ian Crow
Decatur

A graveside funeral service and interment for Hayden Rose Ian Crow, infant,
will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Decatur City Cemetery
with Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.
Hayden passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her residence.  She was
born October 16, 2023, in Morgan County, to Cindy Nicole Crow.  She is now a
little angel in Heaven.
Survivors include her mother Cindy Nicole Crow; brothers Jayden Daniel Crow and Kayden Michael Crow; and grandmother Brenda Crow.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Amerson and Troy Crow.
 

 

Michael Anders
Hartselle
Funeral service for Michael Anders, 71, will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023
at 1:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Ashley officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Mr. Anders died on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his residence.  He was born
January 11, 1952, in Morgan County, to Howard Burleson Anders and Margie
Bessie Mitchell Anders.
He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, was a loving husband and father and loved his pet donkey “Festus”. He enjoyed taking road
trips and travel across the United States. He also loved Alabama football
and NASCAR.  He was employed with the Security Police of the United States
Air Force and worked for the Hartselle Police Department, as a Jailer, after
retiring from T.V.A. Police.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to the
Gideons International.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Rhoads Anders; daughter Courtney Anders; and sister Sheila Pyle (Terry).
Pallbearers will be the men of Lebanon Baptist Church.  

 

 

Joe Kyle
Falkville

Funeral service for Joe Kyle, 84, will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at
3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at
Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Kyle died on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Falkville Health Care Center.
He was born June 13, 1939, in Morgan County, to Jasper Lloyd Kyle and Drady Eloise Patterson Kyle.
He was self-employed as a plumber, prior to his passing. He was a good
husband, father and grandfather to his family. He was preceded in death by
his wife, Mary Brewer Kyle and his parents.
Survivors include his sons Joey Kyle (Teresa) and Jason Kyle; daughter Donna Jones (Rabe); sister Carolyn Burnett; grandchildren Danielle Hayes (Josh), Jada Haga (Thomas), Kyle Jones (Heather),
Brittney Morris (Nick), Dylan Kyle (Macy), Clay Kyle (Jessica), Leigh Battles (Matthew), Carter Kyle, Katie Hiller (Jentson) and Landon Jones; 26 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Jones, Dylan Kyle, Carter Kyle, Thomas Haga, Josh
Hayes, Nick Morris and Clay Kyle.

 

 

Gary Hill

Somerville

A Memorial service for Gary Hill, 70, will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 at
3:00 PM at Soul Harbor Baptist Church with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating
and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.
Mr. Hill died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his residence.  He was born
August 28, 1953, in Morgan County, to Clarence James Hill and Luda Mae Zills
Hill.
Mr. Hill was employed as a Stock Clerk  for Thrifty Wise, Hill’s Grocery and
Harold’s Market, throughout his working career, where he worked with his
family and never met a stranger. He was a very kind soul and was always kind
to everyone he met. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Kenneth Hill and his
wife, Ruby Hill, and a brother-in law, James Gray.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Johnson Hill; son Shane Hill; daughter Christa Rogers (Eddie); daughter Harold Hill (Jo); sister Gloria Gray and his granddog Chichi.  

 

 

 

 

 

Betty Ann Crow Wilbanks

Hartselle

Funeral service for Betty Ann Crow Wilbanks, 66, will be Sunday, October 29,
2023 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Eaton officiating
and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bald Knob Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilbanks died on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Decatur Rehab Nursing
Home.  She was born July 26, 1957, in Morgan County,  to Cleveland Charles
Crow and Willodean Ledlow Crow.
She was employed by Careline, Inc., as a Billing Specialist, prior to her
retirement. She loved Alabama football and enjoyed traveling with her best
friends, Linda and Diane. She was a wonderful “nanny” to her great nieces,
Illyria and Charisma.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her twin sister, Betsy Sims, and
nephews, Mike Morgan and Mark Hughes.
Survivors include her husband Vernon Wilbanks; brother Jimmy Crow; sisters Robbin Hughes and Patsy Morgan; Nieces Misty Sims and Leissa Homan; Nephews Jimmy Crow, Jr. and Tony Crow; many great nieces and great nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to Affinity Hospice
and Decatur Rehab Nursing Home  for the wonderful care given to our loved
one. 

 

 

 

Gloria Gregg Green  

Decatur 

A visitation for Mrs. Gloria Gregg Green will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00PM at Flint Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 at the church. Burial will follow at Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Brother Wendall Bennett and Brother Joe David Bailey officiating. Peck Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. 

Mrs. Gloria Gregg Green, age 73 passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at her residence in Decatur. She was born to Olen and Dorothy Williams Gregg in Jones County, Mississippi on October 26, 1950. She retired as a childcare provider at Kid’s Kastle in Hartselle. Gloria was a dedicated and loving care giver to her husband Gary Dewayne Green for 21 years of their 42 years of marriage. She had the gift of giving as well as many other gifts. She loved all sports and enjoyed supporting and cheering on her children and grandchildren. Gloria was very involved with her church and spending time with her family. Mississippi was home and where she loved to visit with family. One her favorite things to do was going out to eat with her sister in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Dewayne Green and sister, Betty Gregg Robinson.Survivors include sons Seth Gary Green (Whitney) of Hartselle; daughter Tara Paige Morrow of Hartselle; Sister Deborah Gregg Tanner (Wayne) of Ellsville, Mississippi; Grandchildren: Larsen Murphy of Hartselle and Sam Green of Hartselle. Pallbearers will be Michael Hembree, Mickey Hembree, Randy Barbrey, Wheeler Kirby, Steve Hall, John Hall, Mike Garnett and Don Puckett.  

 

 

 

 

Tanya Jennings Alexander  

Lacey’s Springs 

A visitation for Tanya Jennings Alexander will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with her funeral service being held in the chapel at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.  

Tanya Alexander of Lacey’s Spring passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at the age of 57. Tanya was born to Ernest Ted Jennings and Dolores Spurlin Jennings on April 7, 1966 in Morgan County Alabama. She was a well loved cook at Mr. Henry’s restaurant in Hartselle. She loved flowers and gardening, sewing, cooking and listening to music. She had a fondness for animals and helping others. Tanya was also a past volunteer at her local volunteer fire department. She was full time caretaker for her mother and loved her family more than anything.  

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Spurlin Jennings; two sons, Bradley Alexander and Jason Alexander; daughter, Laura Alexander; sister, Anna Bentley (Jeff); pallbearers will be Flint Jennings, Brad Donovan, Bart Donovan, Cody Spurlin, Tracy Hughes, Bradley Alexander and honorary pall bearer Steve Edmonson. 

 

 

 

Charles “Johnny” Edward  

Falkville 

A visitation for Mr. Charles “Johnny” Edward Taylor will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 at Peck Funeral Home from 11:00 to 1:00 PM with the funeral service following at 1:00 PM in the chapel. The burial will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Brother David Taylor will be officiating. Peck Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

Mr. Taylor of Falkville passed away at the age of 84 at Huntsville Hospital on Friday, October 27, 2023. “Johnny” was born to Oscar and Maggie Hopper Taylor in Morgan County, Alabama on August 20, 1939. He worked as a gasket maker at Presley Rubber Company before retiring. He proudly served in the US Army. He loved to garden both flowers and vegetables, camping and being outdoors. He enjoyed coon hunting and loved his two coon dogs. Above all, he loved his family and was dearly loved by his family. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter “Barbie” Taylor; brothers, James “Jimmy” Taylor, Jackie Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, Howard Taylor; sisters, Barbara Bowen, and Dorothy Taylor. 

Survivors include his wife of almost 62 years this November, Ruth Cobb Taylor; one son Troy Taylor (Vicky); two foster sons Larry Nelson and Steve Nelson; two daughters Cathy Hooper (Clint) and Retta Ricketts (Tim); one brother Joe Taylor; two sisters Elaine Brickman and Sheila Brickman; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  

Pall bearers will be Trey Taylor, Cory Shadden, Adam Shadden, Thomas Ricketts, Fabian Kontos and Steve Nelson. Honorary pallbearer will be Caleb Rayburn.
