Melba McNeal Teague

Funeral service for Melba McNeal Teague, 86, will be Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Royce Teague and Bro. Jimmy Meek officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. 

Mrs. Teague died on Monday, August 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1937, in Albertville, AL, to Hugh Lee McNeal and Viola Rutledge McNeal. She was employed in Administration for BP Amoco, prior to her retirement and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was a Bridge Club member, a member of the Red Hat Society and numerous other social clubs throughout the years. She also loved to travel. Preceding her in death were her husband, Cleo Teague; a sister, Frances Harvey and her parents. 

Survivors include her sons, Kevin Teague (Allyson), Decatur, Byron Teague, Decatur and David Teague (Alison), Priceville; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Hunter Teague, Wesley Teague, Daniel Teague, Taylor Teague, Cory Dodson and Matthew Nutt. 

Family wishes to express their thanks to Hospice of the Valley and special caregivers, Shania Casey and Kayla Mitchell for their wonderful care.  

 

 

 

 

Karen Ponter Murphy Bauer

Funeral service for Karen Ponter Murphy Bauer, 69, will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Hartselle, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Bauer died on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1954, in Morgan County, to James Emanuel Ponter and Tommie Jane Smith Ponter. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Falkville Healthcare and Rehab, prior to her retirement. She was a loving wife and mother and was always caring for others. She was a United States Army veteran and after her service she always was working and caring for saved and forgotten warriors and veterans. She loved her country, as she loved her family. Her parents preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her husband, Sal Bauer; daughter, Yolanda Murphy; brothers, Craig Ponter and Mike Ponter; sister, Diane Butler; grandchildren, Kelby and Kasey Lawrimore; several nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Raymond “Ray” Ragland

Hartselle

Mr. Raymond “Ray” Ragland passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Decatur
Morgan Hospital.  He was born May 3, 1940, in Jefferson County, to William
Leroy Ragland, Sr. and Ida Mae Joyce Ragland. He was employed by the Scorpio Construction Company in Westcreek, New Jersey, prior to his retirement and was a United States Navy Veteran. Since his retirement he enjoyed working on bicycles. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Theresa Bowling  Ragland; sons Raymond Ragland, Jr.(Jenny), Ruskin, FL, Christopher Ragland, D. Allen Terry, (Holly), Scott Terry (Kristin), Ross Terry (Michelle), daughter Allison Joyner (David); grandsons Hunter Ray Ragland, Jacob Ragland, Logan Terry, Andrew Joyner (Trinidi); granddaughters Hannah and Haley Ragland, Aaliyah Terry; Great Granddaughter Aurora Joyner; Sister-in-law Marcia Haynes (Sam). In lieu of flowers: memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association @ 1449 Medical Park Drive South, Birmingham, AL 35213 or to the American Kidney Foundation @ 1899 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA  30315. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday September 1, 2023 at 6:30 PM in
the Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 6:30PM at the

Theresa Tolbert  Marlin 

Decatur 

Funeral service for Theresa Tolbert Marlin, 65, will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Phillips officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Saturday  from 11:00 AM  to 1:00 PM  at the funeral home. 

Ms.  Marlin died on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her residence.  She was born October 1, 1957, in  Japan, to James Howard Tolbert  and Lee Ree Hanners Tolbert . 

Ms. Marlin was a Christian, a devoted mother and she loved her family dearly. Theresa was an animal lover and was employed by Limestone County Revenue Office as an accountant prior to retirement. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Heather Marlin. A special thank you to John & June Marlin and Vickie Szalwinski for their loving care over the past couple of years. 

Survivors include Daughter Kristi Marlin (Justin), Brother – Ricky Tolbert (SyRhonda), Sister – Pam Teeples (Donnie) Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.

Funeral service for Heath Wallace, 45, will be Sunday, August 27, 2023 at
2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steven Barber officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Peck
Funeral Home.

Mr. Wallace died on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his residence.  He was born
January 24, 1978, in Morgan County to Joel D. Wallace and Carolyn W.
Wallace.  Mr. Wallace was a member of Neel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include Son Joel Teagon Wallace, Three Daughters –
Tori Wallace, Madison Marcee Wallace and Taylon Rain Wallace; Parents Joel D. and Carolyn Wallace; Two Sisters Brooke W. Reed (Josh) and Jessica W. Johnson (Kelly). Pallbearers will be Kelly Johnson, Josh Reed, Trenton Hart, Dalton Hart,
Colby Reed and Kurt Randolph.
 

 

 

 

Larry Joe Riddle
Falkville

Funeral service for Larry Joe Riddle, 70, of Falkville will be Wednesday,
August 30, 2023, at 3:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kevin
Free and Brother Tony Johnson officiating with burial in the New Center
Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm
until 8:00pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Riddle, who was born August 26, 1953, in Jefferson County to Bennie
Riddle and Irene Bomar Riddle, died on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his
home in Falkville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, loved to fish, play music,
listen to Gospel music, watching westerns, and was an excellent cook. His
children and grandchildren were his life and he enjoyed teaching them all
how to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad, L.C.
Blankenship, a sister, Brenda Gail Halbrooks and his brothers, Benny, and
Jerry Riddle.

He is survived by Three Sons Craig Riddle (Kerrie Ann), Marion Riddle and Josh Riddle; One  Daughter Terria Riddle; Bonus Daughters Kristle Anderson, Jessica Riddle; One Brother:             Gary Blankenship; One Sister Carolyn Riddle; Eight Grandchildren Amber Riddle, Irene Shedd, Gage Riddle, J.B. Riddle, Adrianna Chaney, Mason Riddle, Brodie Riddle and Brindlee Joe Riddle

Matt Bomar, Shad Bomar, Todd Bomar, Jeremy Reeves, Kraig Tersigni and Daniel

Shirley June Galloway  

Hartselle  

Funeral service for Shirley Reynolds Galloway, 83, will be Monday, August 28, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Hartselle Church of Christ with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the church. 

Mrs. Galloway died on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 29, 1939, in Arkansas to Charlie A. Reynolds and Ruby Ball Reynolds. During her career she was employed at Woodard Electric as a purchaser. Mrs. Galloway was a faithful member of Hartselle Church of Christ for 51 years. She loved her church family and cherished every hug and conversation. She kept her Bible by her recliner and read it every day. She loved her kids and grandkids and followed them to every ball field and basketball court. She had such a sweet soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Survivors include her son, James Kevin Galloway (Brittany); daughter, Danita Galloway Lindsey; sister, Bonnie Reynolds Hastings; four grandchildren, Jarrod Galloway, Braydon Galloway, Ryne Lindsey and Chris Lindsey; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Lindsey, Alex Lindsey and Carson Lindsey. 

Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. 

 

Joe Wilhite

Cullman

Funeral service for Joe Wilhite, 68, will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at
11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Delbert Freeman and Bro.
David  Matthews officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be
in Roundtop Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 6:00
PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home .

Mr. Wilhite died on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his residence.  He was born
July 19, 1955, in Morgan County, to Virgil Phil Wilhite and Veda Levell
McAbee.

Mr. Wilhite was married to his wife, Annie, for 48 years. He loved his wife,
his kids and his grandkids with all of his heart and enjoyed spending time
with his grandbabies. He loved Jesus and enjoyed driving his tractor. He was
employed by Nicholson File and Trucking Company, in the production
department, prior to his retirement.

Survivors include Wife Annie Waldrop Wilhite; Son Jackie Wilhite; Daughter Amanda Wilhite Tucker; Brother Virgil Wilhite; Sisters Brenda Ball, Debbie Hackler and Gayle Vogel; Eight Grandchildren; One Great Grandchild; Hudson Wilhite, Chris Ball, John Shaddrix, J.D. Landers, Anthony Hendrix and Garrett Ball will be pallbearers.
